1. Who has to attend new student orientation?
All new PTC degree/certificate seeking students will participate in New Student Orientation online prior to registering for courses. The online orientation provides basic information about resources at the college and provides other helpful tips for being successful at Pulaski Technical College. Online orientation can be accessed in the MyPTC Portal under the Admissions or video tab. Orientation will become available to students once they have been accepted to the Pulaski Technical College and have set up their MyPTC Portal account.
2. Who does not have to attend new student orientation?
The video will take roughly thirty minutes to watch. There are several video segments for students to view. In between video segments, students will be required to complete a quiz covering the material discussed in the video segment. Students must score 100% on the quiz in order for the New Student Orientation to be considered “complete.”
3. What should I expect at my orientation session?
After students have completed New Student Orientation online, they will receive information on how to set up an advising appointment. During the advising appointment, students will register for classes.
