Pulaski Technical College will host a Community Conversation event on Thursday, February 23, at 5:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Grand Hall, located on the Main campus at 3000 N. Scenic Drive in North Little Rock. A sandwich buffet will be served at 5:30 p.m., and the event will last from 6 until approximately 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The Community Conversation is an effort to engage the public in important dialogue concerning issues and challenges related to the success or lack thereof by black males in central Arkansas. Participants will consider hard questions and bold strategies, barriers to student success, graduation and retention, and employment and the workplace. The goal of the event is to provide honest, accurate information to further the mission of the Pulaski Tech Network for Student Success, a program dedicated to improving the retention and graduation of African-American males. Interested members of the community, especially employers and business owners, are strongly encouraged to attend. Please RSVP by calling (501) 812-2822 or email Kareem Moody at kmoody@pulaskitech.edu. The event is part of the third annual African-American Male Initiative Consortium Conference on Feb. 23-24, also hosted at Pulaski Technical College.
