Ottenheimer Library open for business on main campus
2/8/2006

The Ottenheimer Library on the main campus of Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock has opened for business. The new entrance to the library is located near the plaza across from the Campus Center construction site.

The expanded library includes an additional 15,000 square feet of space for services and collections, as well as additional computer workstations, study rooms, reading areas, books and videos. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the building.

Renovation of the library building began in fall 2004 and was funded with proceeds from the issuance of revenue bonds, as well as a $500,000 challenge grant from the Ottenheimer Brothers Foundation.

In recognition of the gift, the college has renamed the library in honor of Gus and Leonard Ottenheimer.

"We appreciate the support we have received from the PTC community as we worked to continue and improve library services and resources throughout this construction period,"
Debbie Kirby, library director, said.
