Black History Month activities set

Pulaski Technical College will celebrate Black History Month with a variety of activities sponsored by the Cultural Diversity Committee.
Events will get under way Thursday, Feb. 16, with a Poetry Night in the student center located in the Administration building. Students, faculty and staff will share songs, dance and poetry from 6-8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
On Tuesday, Feb. 21, there will be a reading from Why We Can't Wait, followed by a panel discussion from noon to 1 p.m. in the lobby of the Allied Health Education Center. There is no charge for this activity.
Events will culminate with the annual Black History Banquet with the theme "Believe - Achieve - Succeed: Celebrating African American History in Song" on Friday, Feb. 24, at 6 p.m. in the U.S. Bank Community Room on the first floor of the Information Technology Center. Tickets are $12 and are available from Dianne Butler in the Counseling Services office or from any committee member.
