PTC celebrates National Cyber Awareness today

The Pulaski Technical College Information Technology Committee is sponsoring a series of events on Monday, Oct. 29, to celebrate National Cyber Security Awareness Month. Students, faculty, staff and the public are welcome to attend.

The events will start at 9 a.m. at the North Little Rock location in the Campus Center Grand Hall on the first floor of the Campus Center. Snacks, drinks and prizes will be provided.

Schedule of activities is as follows:

9 a.m. - Documentary - "Hackers: Outlaws and Angels"
10 a.m. - Dave Danner - Blue Cross Blue Shield "Network Security"
11 a.m. - Documentary - "Cyber War!"
12 p.m. - Break for Lunch
1 p.m. - Lennon Parker - Pulaski Technical College "Your Footprints Are Always Left Online"
2 p.m. - Documentary - "Hackers: Outlaws and Angels"
3 p.m. - Dave Danner - Blue Cross Blue Shield "Network Security"
4 p.m. - Documentary - "Cyber War!"
5 p.m. - Lennon Parker - Pulaski Technical College "Your Footprints Are Always Left Online"

National Cyber Security Awareness Month is a national campaign focused on educating the American public, businesses, schools and government agencies about ways to secure their part of cyber space, computers and our nation's critical infrastructure.
