Pulaski Technical College will kick-off Black History month with an observance of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Tuesday, Jan. 29.
A memorial display of artwork, books, videos and photos will be exhibited from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the first-floor foyer of the Campus Center.
A program of remembrance will take place from 12-1 p.m., featuring the Rev. Cecil Gibson who will present Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech. Other guest speakers include Jerelyn Duncan, interim director of the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, and Pulaski Technical College students. Beata Lovelace, instructor of computer information systems, will provide special music.
All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend.
The observance ushers in Black History month, celebrated throughout the month of February.
