PTC to offer summer aerospace camp for teens

Pulaski Tech's Business and Industry Center is sponsoring a free, two-week Summer Aviation and Aerospace Technology Camp on June 16-27 for upcoming high school juniors and seniors.

The college is partnering with Metropolitan Career Technical Center and the Central Arkansas Aerospace Alliance to offer the camp. Classes will meet 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at Pulaski Tech's Business and Industry Center, located on the campus of the Aerospace Education Center/IMAX Theater in Little Rock at 3303 East Roosevelt Road.

The teens will participate in hands-on activities and tour several aviation and aerospace industries in central Arkansas to learn about careers in aviation and aerospace technology. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will provide activities that incorporate math-related projects and stem rocket launch technology.

The camp is free, and lunch and snacks will be provided. The application deadline is May 23.
