Pulaski Technical College instructor Antoinette Brim will read from her newly published collection of poetry Psalm of the Sunflower on Sept. 22 on the Main campus. The reading begins at 6 p.m. in the Campus Center Grand Hall. A book-signing will immediately follow in the PTC Bookstore. Brim's poems have been published in various journals, magazines and anthologies, including Reverie Midwest African American Literature, The November 3rd Club, the Cave Canem edition of Drunken Boat and the anthology Just Like a Girl: A Manifesta. Her poem "K-Mart on Asher is Closing" was nominated for Best on the Net, and "Thirteen Ways of Looking at Love" was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
