Nationally syndicated cartoonist John Deering will discuss censorship issues in journalism on Thursday as part of Pulaski Technical College's celebration of Banned Books Week, taking place this week.

Deering is also a sculptor, whose work includes the nine life-sized bronze sculptures in the civil rights memorial sculpture called the "Testament" as well as the statue at the center of the Arkansas Vietnam Veterans' Memorial. Both sculptures are located on the Arkansas State Capitol grounds.
