Pulaski Tech to host MLK event
Pulaski Technical College's Cultural Diversity Committee will kick-off Black History month activities with a commemorative celebration of the life of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
A memorial display of artwork, videos and photos will be exhibited from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Campus Center foyer.
A program of remembrance will take place 12-1 p.m. featuring an inspirational message from Pastor Jameel Wesley of the Eighth Street Missionary Baptist church in North Little Rock. The Rev. Cecil Gibson will present King's "I Have a Dream" speech. Other activities include a Martin Luther King trivia game with prizes, readings by Pulaski Tech students, and special music by Beata Lovelace, instructor of computer information systems.
All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend.
