Durr to serve on InfraGard board
David Durr, dean of the Information Technology Division, has been elected to serve a two-year term on the board of InfraGard Arkansas.
InfraGard is a cooperative undertaking between the U.S. Government (led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation) and an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies and other participants dedicated to increasing the security of the United States' critical infrastructures.
Durr also passed the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) exam, a demanding six-hour exam that covers 10 domains related to information security.
The CISSP is a highly regarded information technology certification recognized for its stringent requirements as the global standard for measuring the competence of information technology security professionals. It is formally approved by the U.S. Department of Defense and has been adopted as a baseline for security professionals by the U.S. National Security Agency.
