Pulaski Tech to host open house at Business and Industry Center

The Pulaski Technical College Business and Industry Center will host an open house Thursday, Sept. 16, from noon to 6 p.m. on the campus of the Aerospace Education Center/IMAX Theatre, 3303 Roosevelt Road, Little Rock.
At 2 p.m., there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the college's new ACT Center, which is located inside the Business and Industry Center. The ACT Center offers the following:
- skill-specific training through approximately 3,000 computer-based and Web-based courses developed by leading courseware providers;
- workplace skills assessments;
- computer-delivered certification and licensure tests for the trades and professions; and
- distance learning using the latest technology.
From 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., there will be a complimentary workshop entitled "Increasing Vitality: Managing Energy, Not Time!" Instructor Lisa Kealer-Carver will focus on managing time more effectively by managing energy and reducing stress throughout the day.
From 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., training specialist Keith Slaten will offer a "Microsoft Overview" to explore the depths of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook. To register for the free seminars, contact Amy Rebick at (501) 812-2324 or arebick@pulaskitech.edu.
