This year's second stop in the Toyota Farm to Table Tour was held at The Little Rock Farmers' Market on July 17.

The Little Rock showcase featured nine noted and award-winning local chefs, including Chef Cynthia East, lead instructor for the Pulaski Technical College Arkansas Culinary School, and Chef Jason Knapp, manager of the Pulaski Tech Big Rock Bistro.

Other chefs and restaurateurs participating included Capi Peck, owner of Capi's and Trio's; James Meadors, owner of Fat Sam's Louisiana Caf?nd Catering; Tim Morton, chef at Restaurant 1620; Mark Abernathy, owner of Red Door and Loca Luna; Jacob Peck, chef at Forty Two, in the Clinton Presidential Center; Kathy Webb, owner of Lilly's Dim Sum Then Some; and Donnie Ferneau, owner of Ferneau restaurant.

Students from the Pulaski Tech Arkansas Culinary School assisted all of the chefs, providing a great opportunity to highlight the PTC Arkansas Culinary School as well as providing students a chance for close interaction with area employers.

Despite the hot July temperatures, there was a huge crowd for the event, with many hungry attendees lining up for long periods of time to sample the local fare.

In addition to complimentary tastings, visitors who participated in the Toyota promotion received wooden cutting boards, complimentary potted culinary herbs from the Highlander Hybrid Mobile Garden, as well as enter for a chance to win a culinary trip to Santa Barbara for a special cooking and farmers' market tour.
