Applying for Financial Aid

Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You may submit your application electronically via FAFSA on the WEB. It can take two to three weeks for the application to be processed. Electronic filing will speed up the processing of your application. Be sure to include PTC's Title IV Code: 014167

Once your application has been processed, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) in the mail and we will receive an electronic version of your SAR. At this point, we will determine if we require additional documentation. You will receive a letter from our office requesting any required documents.

When your file is complete, your application will be verified or reviewed for accuracy. The verification process can take from four to six weeks, depending on the time of year. If we find errors in your application, we will correct them for you and you will receive another SAR with the new corrected information.
