Job Description: Pulaski Technical College, Arkansas's largest two-year college is accepting applications for a Business and Facilities Manager. The College seeks an exceptional individual to fill this key leadership role in what promises to be an exciting and dynamic era of education and service. The Business and Facilities Manager is a full-time position that reports directly to the Vice President for Finance to oversee and manage all campus activities associated with facilities planning, construction and remodeling, custodial, inventory control, motor pool, maintenance and environmental compliance, energy management, and other support services. The Business and Facilities Manager will also develop policy recommendations for review and approval.
Minimum Requirements: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Energy Management, Mechanical Engineering or related field, along with a minimum of five years of proven experience in management related to the areas of responsibility including engineering, construction, and facilities management, site development, general construction, mechanical, electrical, and building systems automation and controls, energy management or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. Must be knowledgeable about relevant federal and state construction and safety laws and codes. Must have experience with the preparation of service contracts, bid documents and forms, requests for proposals and qualifications, and working with construction management consultants including architects and engineers. Required to have working knowledge of higher education, the Arkansas Public Works Law, capital funding programs, and facilities review process. Outstanding organizational, management, interpersonal, and writing skills are essential. Must be able to represent the interests of the College through personal contacts and presentations. Ability to build successful work teams with internal and external partners is a must. Knowledge and expertise in AutoCAD, MS Project Scheduler and MS Office, Outlook, and Excel necessary.
