Job Description: Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the state's largest two-year college, is accepting applications for a full time Respiratory Therapy Program Director. The Respiratory Therapy (RT) Program Director will be responsible for all aspects of the RT Program, including the management of faculty, facilities, and funding, administration, continuous review and analysis, planning, development, and general effectiveness of the Program. The RT Program Director will provide cognitive, psychomotor, and affective teaching in the Respiratory Therapy classroom, laboratory, clinical hospital sites as available, and specialty rotation sites as available. The RT Program Director will conduct, on-going and annual, assessments and evaluations of the effectiveness of the RT Program's educational domains, and report the data to the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) and the Pulaski Technical College Administration. The RT Program Director will maintain all Program data in a current, up-to-date condition; and will construct periodic RT Program accreditation7 self-studies with CoARC accreditation site visits to assure continued RT Program accreditation. The RT Program Director will assist the dean in support for the College's strategic and operating plans. The Director will also serve as a member of college teams and committees as required.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants for the RT Program Director position must have a Master?s Degree (required): all degrees must be from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE); must hold a valid, active RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), and hold all required state licenses to practice RT; have a minimum 4 years, current experience in Respiratory Care as an RRT of which at least two (2) years are in clinical respiratory care; have a minimum two (2) years? experience teaching in a CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
