Job Description: Pulaski Technical College, Arkansas's largest two-year college, is accepting applications for an Institutional Research Coordinator. The Institutional Research Coordinator reports to the Director of Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness and supports the information needs of the institution, providing technical assistance in data collection, analysis of data, completion of research and assessment reports, and participation in national studies. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Maintain currency in the knowledge and techniques of federal and state reporting requirements and best practices of the Institutional Research field. ? Coordinate and respond to data requests from internal and external stakeholders, governmental agencies and other associations; including national and state surveys, accreditation and licensure requests, and other miscellaneous sources. ? Monitor changes in state and federal reporting requirements. ? Coordinate institutional reporting; ensure reports are accurate and timely. ? Maintain master institutional reporting calendar. ? Provide reliable, relevant, and accurate data to facilitate planning, budgeting, program evaluation, accreditation activities, and policy formulation. ? Assure the quality and validity of institutional data through collaboration with Student Services, Information Services, Human Resources, and Finance personnel. ? Coordinate the development of data element standardization procedures. ? Coordinate survey administration process. ? Conduct statistical research and analysis. ? Assists with data warehouse administration. ? Serve on institutional committees. ? Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ? Bachelor?s degree and three years? experience in higher education or in similar settings utilizing databases and generating reports. ? Experience with quantitative and qualitative data. ? Working knowledge and use of databases, data collection, reporting and analysis tools, data warehouses, and web based data presentation. ? Ability to interpret data, assess alternatives, formulate logical and sound decisions. ? Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. ? Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and see task to completion. ? Strong interpersonal skills and ability to apply tact and good judgment in dealing with all levels of college administrators, faculty and staff. ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ? Proven ability to adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: ? Master?s degree. ? Experience with state/federal reporting requirements and procedures. ? Experience with SPSS, SAS or equivalents statistical software. ? Knowledge of IPEDS reporting process and external data collection organizations (Common Data Set, Peterson?s, etc.) ? Proficiency in survey creation, administration and analysis. ? Direct institutional research experience is strongly preferred.
