Respiratory Therapy Program Application Process
Step 1: Complete an on-line application for admission to Pulaski Technical College, including all required admissions documentation. Admission to the College does not constitute admission to the Respiratory Therapy program. Admissions documents include:
Step 2: Submit official college transcripts from all colleges and universities showing completion of, or current enrollment in, English Composition I and II, College Algebra, approved Science courses with labs, an approved Social Science course, Speech Communication, and an introductory computer course. All grades must be a "C" or better. Transcripts must be officially evaluated by the College. Forms to request evaluation are available in the Student Services office. Step 3: Take the COMPASS pre-algebra math exam and attain at least a minimum score set of 63. Step 4: Current Pulaski Technical College students should complete the Request for Respiratory Therapy Admission form. All of the above documentation should be submitted by March 15 of each year to allow sufficient time for applications to be processed. Students admitted to the Respiratory Therapy program must submit a physical examination report form provided by the College. They also must provide a criminal background check from a PTC approved agency with “clear” in all areas evaluated, must also complete a drug screen from a PTC approved drug screening lab.
