Cosmetology

Technical certificates in Cosmetology, Nail Technology, and Cosmetology Instructor are offered by Pulaski Technical College. All programs are located at our Saline County Career Center in Bauxite. Classes are held in the evenings, 3-9 p.m. Programs use an extended year schedule to enable students to complete the number of clock hours required by the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology Cosmetology to sit for the state license exam.

Cosmetology

Classes are held in the evenings, 3-9 p.m. Programs use an extended year schedule to enable students to complete the number of clock hours required by the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology Cosmetology to sit for the state license exam.

Cosmetology Technical Certificate

Cosmetoloyg Program of Study is designed to be completed in three semesters with entry points at the beginning of any Fall or Spring semester. Classes in this program are offered at the Saline County Career Center in Bauxite, and are held five days per week, 3-9 p.m. The program also uses an extended year schedule to enable students to complete the number of clock hours required by the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology to sit for the state licensure exam. Summer sessions are not requirement. Students must enroll for all courses each semester.

This three-semester program is designed to provide cosmetology education to meet the requirements of government agencies and the skills standards set forth for entry-level cosmetologists. This course of study offers instruction in theory and lab basic services and theories and principles of cosmetology arts and sciences. Students may sit for the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology exam for licensure after completing 1500 clock hours of study.

Nail Technology Certificate

Nail Technology Program of Study is designed to be completed in two semesters: Fall and Spring. Classes in this program are offered at the Saline County Career Center in Bauxite, and are held five days per week, 4:30-9 p.m. A total of 600 clock hours must be earned to sit for the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology Nail Technology license test. The program also uses an extended year schedule to enable students to complete the number of clock hours required by the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology to sit for the state licensure exam.

Students may enter the Nail Technology Program of Study at the beginning of any Fall semester. Students must enroll for all courses each semester.

This two-semester program is designed to provide nail technology education to meet the requirements of government agencies and the skills standards set forth for entry-level nail technologist. This course of study offers instruction in theory and lab basics services, as well as preparation for the state exam for licensure. Students may sit for the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology Nail Technology exam after completing 600 hours of study.

Cosmetology Instructor Certificate

Cosmetology Instructor Program of Study is designed to be completed in two semesters: Fall and Spring. Classes in this program are offered at the Saline County Career Center in Bauxite, and are held Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 3-9 p.m. The program also uses an extended year schedule to enable students to complete the number of clock hours required by the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology to sit for the state licensure exam. A total of 600 clock hours must be earned to sit for the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology Instructor license test.
 
Students may enter the Cosmetology Instructor Program of Study at the beginning of any Fall semester. Students must enroll for all courses each semester.

This two-semester program allows licensed cosmetologists the opportunity to achieve the competencies needed to meet the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology requirements for Cosmetology Instructor. This course of study offers instruction in class preparation, conducting theory and practical classes and keeping student records. Students may sit for the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology Cosmetology Instructor exam after completing 600 hours of study.
