Aviation Maintenance Technology Center
The Aviation Technology Center, constructed in 1985, is located at the North Little Rock Airport and houses the Aviation Maintenance Technology programs. The hangar-style laboratory and lecture rooms encompass 11,000 square feet.
The Aviation Technology Center offers the following:
Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) Certification Program – In accordance with FAA Regulation 147.
The Pulaski Technical College, Aviation Maintenance Technology degree and certification programs are designed to meet the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for obtaining the Airframe and Powerplant certification required when performing maintenance on civilian aviation aircraft.
The aviation school offers day and evening programs to assist individuals attain their goal as a certified Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT).
The certification process consists of a 5 semester (20 months) training program for day classes and 24 to 26 month training program for evening classes. Our areas of study include Technical Math, Applied Physics for Aviation, General Aviation, Powerplant and Airframe.
After successful completion of the program you will be administered the Federal Exams at this location (if desired) and issued the appropriate mechanics certificate(s) by the FAA.
Special consideration may be given to individuals who have previous mechanical experience, military or civilian. He/she may be able to receive credit for specific aviation subject areas.
With the completion of the AMT certification courses, a student can obtain an Associates in Applied Science degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology.
Avionics/Electronics Technology Certification Program
The Avionics/Electronics Technology program offered at Pulaski Technical College is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and abilities to enter the aviation workforce as an Avionics Installer/Technician.
Much of the Avionics program is incorporated into the Airframe Program. As an Avionics student you would be required to take the Aviation General Course, specific courses within the airframe curriculum and Circuit Analysis I and II offered at the Main Campus.
After completing the Avionics/Electronic Technology program requirements the student is eligible to take the Federal Communications Commission Examination (FCC) and receive their FCC License.

With the aging commercial fleets and the development of newer, technically advanced aircraft the need for certified aircraft maintenance technicians (AMT) is at a critical stage.
