President's Bio

Dr. Dan F. Bakke became president of Pulaski Technical College on July 1, 2000. Previously, he served as vice president for instruction at the college.
Dr. Bakke has spent 37 years in various administrative positions with Arkansas and Texas community colleges, including two years as vice president for student services at Pulaski Tech and three years as dean of instruction at Southeast Arkansas College at Pine Bluff.
He holds a doctorate in education from Nova Southeastern University at Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a master of education in guidance and counseling from Prairie View A&M University at Prairie View, Texas, and a bachelor of science in industrial technology from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.
Dr. Bakke is a member of the Rotary Club of Little Rock and serves on the Arkansas Workforce Investment Board, the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce Executive Board and the North Little Rock Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors.
He and his wife, Jane, who is retired after 40 years of teaching in the Watson Chapel School District, make their home in Sherwood. He is the father of two daughters, Rachel Mooney and Lindsay Bakke, of Houston, Texas, and has three grandchildren.
