Q1. Who can access web registration?A1. Students who have attended Pulaski Technical College any semester since fall 2004 are eligible to register via the Web. Students enrolled for the fall 2006 semester are considered continuing students and are eligible to register during the pre-registration period.
Q2. Who can not access web registration?A2. First-time students to Pulaski Technical College are not eligible to register via the Web. New students will be required to see an adviser and to register at the data-entry terminals located in the Campus Center during regular registration, as noted in the class schedule and the catalog.The advising process should assist the new student in making knowledgeable decisions for future registrations at Pulaski Technical College.
a. Any student who owes a balance to Pulaski Technical College and who has been placed on a business office hold should make payment to the Cashier before accessing registration. Contact the Cashier for the balance of the account.
b. Any student who has a library hold may not register until the hold has been cleared.Contact the library for details.
c. Former students whose last enrollment was summer II 2004 or before must complete a re-admit application. Former students must be advised before their registration can be processed. Registration may be completed during the regular registration, as listed in the catalog and in the class schedule. Regular registration will be held in the Student Center. Access to the Web for former students will be limited during the first re-enrollment.
d. Students returning to college after having completed a suspension must consult with an adviser and may not have access to Web registration during the first enrollment after the suspension.
e. Transfer students are not eligible to enroll in classes via Web registration the first semester of attendance at Pulaski Technical College. Continuing students who were admitted to Pulaski Technical College as a transfer student should request a transfer evaluation, if it hasn’t been completed.Prerequisites taken at another institution must be posted to the Pulaski Technical College transcript before the system will permit a student to enroll in the next level of class.
Q3. Why can I not register for an online class?
A3. A valid email address is required as a pre-requisite to all online courses. The email address may be in addition to other pre-requisites required by that course.
Q4. Do I need to be advised before I register?A4. Advisement is important. With Web registration, continuing students will not be required to see an adviser, but they are strongly encouraged to visit with an adviser before registration. Students should also receive and maintain a degree plan of their choosing. The catalog lists all degree plans and requirements. Students may also obtain a degree plan in the Counseling and Advising office.
