Establish Education & Career Goals
Individuals with clear goals are generally more focused and tend to be more successful in obtaining their goals. The direct route usually is faster and less expensive. The ACT Discover and the Kuder programs guide students through a self-directed search. The knowledge you gain from these activities become the basis for goal setting. It is important to set target dates to indicate when activities are to be completed to help keep you up on track. Realistic dates that are flexible and allow you to make changes during the process.
Individuals having difficulty choosing a major and/or a career path should contact the Counseling and Advising Department located in the Campus Center, room 240 at the North Little Rock campus or call to make an appointment, (501) 812-2220.
