The Arkansas Phi Beta Lambda State Fall Leadership Conference is Oct. 19-20 at Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock.Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is the college level organization of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). PBL students, advisers and guests from all over Arkansas will be at PTC with the state officer delegation. The conference will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Grand Hall for the Opening General Session. This session will include various state announcements including students running for open state officer positions. The state officer candidates applied in advance of the conference, and these candidates will present their campaign speeches with a Q&A session. Activities Friday afternoon will include various breakout sessions until 5 p.m. The conference resumes on Saturday morning with the state officer elections and additional breakout sessions. The final session includes the state officer election winner announcements and the battle of chapters contest (a PBL trivia contest chosen from the top four scoring chapters from a preconference PBL test). The conference is scheduled to conclude around noon Saturday. The early bird fee for conference registration is $35 by Thursday, October 4. The cost increases to $40 for the day of the conference.
