Donnie Cook, president of the Bank of America in Little Rock, presented an oversized check to Dr. Margaret Ellibee, college president, at the institute, which opened Monday.
"One of the goals of Bank of America is to give back to the communities where we are located, and that is something we take pride in," Cook said. "We know that education is the #1 component to changing people's lives."
Bank of America has contributed more than $213,000 since 2002 to support the college's programs and services.
The computer lab and classroom, located on the institute's second floor, will be used by many of the 500 students enrolled in culinary and hospitality programs.
