The Pulaski Technical College Police Department will host a Drug Take-Back event on Friday, Oct. 25, to give the PTC community a way to safely dispose of their unwanted or unused prescription drugs.
Officers will be at tables from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday in the Campus Center foyer on the Main campus and in the lobbies at Little Rock-West and Little Rock-South. Drops can be dropped off at the tables, and no questions will be asked.
National Drug Take Back Day is an initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Drug Enforcement Administration as a way to help keep communities drug-free and to keep the environment clean. Prescriptions drugs are the most widely abused drugs among youth and teens, and most homes have unused or expired prescription drugs in drawers and medicine cabinets, which children and teens can access. Flushing drugs is not an environmentally safe method of disposal.
