Pulaski Technical College will offer two courses to help participants increase their employability and prepare for college.
A class in "Employability" will help participants develop job readiness skills, resume writing, keyboarding, computer literacy and will be offered on the college's main campus at 3000 West Scenic Drive in North Little Rock beginning Feb. 27.
A "Bridge" class, designed to help participants transition into college, will be offered at the college's Kanis Road site in Little Rock beginning Feb. 26. That course will focus on improving math skills.
Both classes meet at 9 a.m. Monday through Thursday and are open-entry.
The courses are being offered through Career Pathways, a program that provides support services and direct financial assistance to parents who want to increase their education and employability.
To be eligible parents must meet certain income requirements and have custody of at least one child under the age of 19 who is living at home. In addition, some parents may qualify for financial aid to assist with childcare, transportation, tuition, books and other direct educational expenses.
