Respiratory Care professionals from across Central Arkansas will be on campus March 23 for the Pulaski Technical College Respiratory Therapy Program's 5th Annual Spring Seminar.
The seminar will take place 7 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Grand Hall, located on the first floor of Campus Center on the college's main campus, 3000 West Scenic Drive in North Little Rock.
Registration and breakfast begin at 7 a.m. followed by welcome remarks at 7:50 a.m. by Dr. Dan F. Bakke, college president.
"Our annual seminar is an opportunity for Respiratory Care professionals to participate in an affordable, eclectic program dedicated to relevant patient care topics," said Mark O'Neal, director of clinical education/Respiratory Therapy Program. "Awareness of Pulaski Tech's commitment to the success of Arkansas' healthcare community has grown over the past five years, and we expect a good group of therapists at this meeting."
Seminar topics include Closing the Loop in Mechanical Ventilation, Infection Control, Smoking Cessation, Internet Security for Patients and Practitioners, and Clinical Applications of the Passey-Muir Speaking Valve.
Attendees receive continuing education credit for participation. CEU certificates will be available at the end of the seminar.
The cost of the seminar is $15 and includes breakfast and lunch. Admission is free to students currently enrolled in Pulaski Tech's Respiratory Therapy program.
