Constitution Day set for Wednesday9/15/2008
Pulaski Technical College will join organizations from across the country in observing Constitution Day on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
The observance commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787, and honors and celebrates the privileges and responsibilities of U.S. citizenship.
Activities will be taking place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Campus Center on the Main campus and in the student services areas at Little Rock-West and Little Rock-South.
Activities include:
- A mock presidential election. Students can cast their ballots Wednesday, and the results will be posted later that day.
- Free copies of the U.S. Constitution
- Voting registration and resources provided at all sites by the Arkansas Secretary of State's Office.
- A multimedia presentation "The Electoral College" presentation prepared by PTC history instructor Andre Robinson, will be shown on Campus Center monitors Wednesday. To see it now, click HERE.
