Pulaski Tech students head to ACDEC conference10/16/2008
Twelve Pulaski Technical College students will represent the college today at the annual conference of the Arkansas Collegiate Drug Education Committee.
Then one-day conference takes place at Arkansas State University-Beebe. This year's theme is "My Space, Your Space, Our Space: The Choices We Make."
At the conference, students will hear from national speakers, interact with their peers from other Arkansas college campuses, and learn how drugs and alcohol can contribute to dating violence.
Student participants include Shae Bourland, Lisa Dunbar, Christy Dillavou, Joshua Harrison, Mike Kwangkeow, Renae Maxwell, Joseph O'Neal, Tyrone Sanders, Larry Simoncus, Sonja Thompson and Michael Williams.
Accompanying them will be Pulaski Tech counselor Donna McSpadden; Summer Brown; director of Student Life and Leadership; and Gary Gaston, director of military enrollment coordinator.
