Working against the clock and each other, participants proved their expertise in job skills for occupations, as well as leadership skills. Winners receive medallions, prizes and scholarships to further their careers and education.
The nail care technology contest evaluated contestants' preparation for employment in the field of nail care. Contestants demonstrated their ability to perform jobs or skills in their work area and on models, including initial preparation, product and tool control, tip and wrap application, sculptured application, cuticle and nail groove, shape and length, arch and c-curve, surface finish, lacquer/polish, wearable nail art application, overall results of workmanship and a written examination.
