Pulaski Technical College is taking its 2004 Rock Enroll public awareness campaign on tour.
From July 29 to Aug. 12, Arkansas' largest community and technical college will take its Rock Enroll Mobile to the streets with information about the college's programs and courses, financial aid opportunities, admissions and registration and student support services.
"The purpose of our Rock Enroll Tour is to generate excitement and interest in higher education in central Arkansas," said Carol Langston, Pulaski Tech's dean of college relations. "As a community college, it's important for us to reach people where they are. It's all about creating opportunities for access to higher education."
The Rock Enroll Mobile is a specially-outfitted dark blue 2004 Chevrolet Suburban with a matching instant tent and fuzzy blue sports chairs. The Rock and Roll Mobile will appear at more than 40 locations throughout central Arkansas in the next two weeks.
"We are very grateful to our sponsors at Crain Chevrolet and Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Arkansas for believing in and supporting our efforts," Langston said. "A well-educated workforce leads to an improved economy. And supporting economic development in central Arkansas is an important part of the mission of Pulaski Tech."
Pulaski Tech will kick off the Rock Enroll Tour Thursday, July 29, with a free parking lot jam from 7-9 p.m. at its new Little Rock location at 8901 Kanis Road. The public is invited. Registration for fall classes at all Pulaski Tech locations is Aug. 10-12.
