Pulaski Technical College All-Star receives transfer scholarship10/20/2010
Pulaski Technical College All-Star student R. Anthony Lynch has been awarded a full transfer scholarship to the Arkansas college or university of his choice.
Lynch received the scholarship Tuesday during the All-Star Awards brunch at the annual Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges' fall conference in Hot Springs. Gov. Mike Beebe gave the keynote address.
A total of 22 All-Stars - one from each of the state's 22 two-year colleges - received scholarships. Representatives from several of the state's four-year colleges and universities met with the scholarship recipients after the awards ceremony.
Lynch is completing an associate degree at Pulaski Tech and plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in finance. He has a degree in culinary arts from the Culinary Institute of America and works as a private chef. His goal is to one day own and operate a bed and breakfast.
