Title III - Maximizing Student Achievement and Retention
Pulaski Technical College has been awarded a $399,955 grant from the United States Department of Education through the Strengthening Institutions Program. The grant is renewable for five years. The Strengthening Institutions Program provides grants to institutions of higher education for improvement of their academic quality, institutional management and fiscal stability. The program also seeks to strengthen participating colleges capacities to make a substantial contribution to the higher education resources of the nation.
There are three components to the Title III activity:
Improved Learning
Course re-design in “gateway” courses, developmental courses and faculty development.
Improved Services
Development of a comprehensive advising and support services system that will improve orientation, assessment/placement; educational planning, advisement; and staff/faculty training.
Improved Resources
Development of alternative funding resources through the creation of an endowment.
