Academic Advising at Pulaski Technical College is available to assist new and continuing students in course selection, reviewing educational opportunities and understanding graduation requirements and campus policies and procedures.
Academic Advising for Current PTC Students
Current PTC students are not required to be advised prior to Web registration. However, academic advising is recommended for all students prior to registration.
Advising Center Hours:
Main Campus
Monday, Thursday and Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m
West/Kanis Campus
Monday: 12:30-4:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 2-6 p.m.
Wednesday: 12:30-6 p.m.
Thursday: 2-4:30 p.m.
Friday: 12:30-4:30 p.m.

South Campus
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

- Currently enrolled students seeking technical certificates or associate of applied science degrees in business may be advised by the PTC Business Division faculty in Business building room 101 on the North Little Rock campus.
- Currently enrolled students seeking technical certificates or associate of applied science degrees in computer information systems may be advised by the PTC Information Technology Division faculty in Information Technology Center room 306 on the North Little Rock campus.
- Currently enrolled students seeking technical certificates or associate of applied science degrees in the Technical and Industrial Division may be advised at the Little Rock- South location, Room 100 or the North Campus – Campus Center Building Room 318.
- Currently enrolled students enrolling in Cosmetology classes for the first time will be required to meet with Scottie Burchett; (501) 602-2420 ext.3201 or e-mail sburchett@pulaskitech.edu, prior to registration for classes.
Academic Advising for New Students
Students enrolling in classes at Pulaski Technical College for the first time will be required to meet with an advisor prior to registration for classes.
New students enrolling in Cosmetology classes for the first time will be required to meet with Scottie Burchett; (501) 602-2420 ext.3201 or e-mail sburchett@pulaskitech.edu, prior to registration for classes.
A student who has not previously had and is planning to enroll in college math and English courses should have taken the ACT or COMPASS prior to meeting with his or her advisor. The COMPASS is administered on campus by Testing Services.
A student who wants to apply college credit earned at another college toward a degree or certificate at Pulaski Technical College needs to have all of his/her official transcripts sent (from each college attended) directly to the Pulaski Technical College Office of Admissions and Records.
Pulaski Technical College students planning to transfer to another college or university should choose a major field of study and transfer institution as early as possible and become familiar with the requirements needed for the major at the transfer institution. This will make it possible for the advisor to work with the student in choosing appropriate courses at Pulaski Technical College.
Financial Aid questions may be answered by a financial aid advisor/counselor located in room 212, second floor of the Campus Center Building on the North Little Rock campus.
