Counseling and Advising Services
Pulaski Technical College provides the services of professionally trained counselors to all students. The counselors are familiar with college programs and can assist students with career information, course advisement, program decisions, testing and assessment, and personal counseling. Students should feel free to consult with a counselor whenever they need assistance regarding any area or subject.
Advising
Counseling staff are available to advise Pulaski Technical College continuing students. Assistance with planning for transfer to four year colleges and universities is available through individual appointments and workshops.
Career Services

Personal Counseling and Mental Health Information
All of us experience stressful periods in our lives at one time or another. PTC Counseling staff can assist students with referrals to other agencies for assistance with personal and family counseling, substance abuse issues, domestic violence and other personal or mental health issues.
The Testing Services office is located within the Counseling and Advising office. Counseling staff administer a variety of assessments and approve credit by examination, such as CLEP and AP.
University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) Transfer Advising
Contact Karen Wisdom, UALR liaison, for assistance with UALR transfer planning and scholarship information. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (501) 812-2255.
Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS)
The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) contains information about the transferability of courses within Arkansas public colleges and universities. Students are guaranteed the transfer of applicable credits and equitable treatment in the application of credits for admissions and degree requirements. Students may complete specified General Education courses anywhere in the public system as well as many courses in the degree/major that have been pre-identified for transfer.
