| Job Description: | Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, one of the state's fastest growing two-year colleges is seeking a Skilled Tradesman. The Skilled Tradesman works under general supervision and is responsible for performing skilled work in such areas as carpentry, painting, and electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and equipment repair.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repairs or constructs wood frames, walls, ceilings, shelves, braces, doors, and
windows.
Replaces fuses, circuit breakers, switches, motor elements, thermostats, cords,
and plugs.
Installs or repairs faucets, valves, drains, traps, safety valves, filters, and pipe fittings
used in gas, water, and steam lines.
Prepares and paints interior and exterior surfaces and cleans area and equipment
when completed.
Maintains and repairs compressors, air ducts, dampers, and pumps, and motors,
controls, condensers, and coils on heating and air conditioning equipment.
Maintains inventory of shop tools and cleans shop area as needed.
Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
The Skilled Tradesman may be required to travel to other PTC locations; Occasional exposure to dirty, dusty, or noisy conditions is required.
