| Job Description: | Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, one of the state's fastest growing two-year colleges, is accepting applications for the position of HE Public Safety Supervisor for the campuses at Pulaski Technical College. This individual will be responsible for the supervision of police officers and campus security which answers calls for assistance from students, staff, and visitors. This position is governed by federal and state laws and institution policy.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides leadership to subordinates and ensures that proper procedures are followed and that assignments are carried out according to established policy.
Responsible for enforcing traffic and parking violations that occur on the campuses.
Responsible for preparation of internal memos, report writing, security of campus buildings, criminal investigations, and the overall safety of students and staff.
Responsible for the training of new officers and the paper work for certification.
Supervises and assists other officers in making criminal arrest and will have to testify in state and federal courts.
Answering and investigating internal complaints.
Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with facility, staff, and students.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Police.

| Minimum Requirements: | The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma, plus four years of experience in law enforcement or related area, including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Must be certified by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Standards Training Academy as a Police Officer in accordance with ACA 12-9-106. Must possess of a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license. Applicant must pass a background investigation. |
| Preferred Qualifications: | Pulaski Technical College is looking for a candidate that has some college education and has experience in law enforcement. The department prefers a candidate that has experience in a position of leadership capacity. Additional requirements include certification by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Standards Training Academy as a police officer and they must have a valid Arkansas driver’s license. Applicants must be 21 years of age. |
