| Job Description: | Pulaski Technical College, Arkansas' largest two-year college, is accepting applications for the position of Public Safety Officer.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides assistance to students, visitors, and staff.
Enforces traffic laws and parking regulations.
Answers calls for all police and emergency services.
Reports writing and may have to testify in state and federal court
Secures buildings and equipment.
Shift work or weekends may be required.
Willingness to work flexible hours and locations.
Enforces Federal, State, Local laws and ordinances.
Enforces College rules and regulations.
Must satisfactorily complete Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy within one (1) year of employment.

| Minimum Requirements: | The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus two years of experience in law enforcement or a related area. Must possess valid state motor vehicle operator’s license. Must be certified or be able to become certified within one year of employment by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Certification Training Academy in accordance with ACA 12-9-106, or an approved law enforcement training academy. |
| Preferred Qualifications: | Law enforcement background preferred.
Previous work experience in an academic setting.Preferred ALETA Certified. |
