|Job Description: ||Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the state's largest two-year college, is accepting applications for a Full-Time Hospitality Instructor of the Pulaski Technical College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. The Hospitality Instructor is required to teach a full load for a special program for students with special needs at the Pulaski Technical College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director and Director of Programs at the Pulaski Technical College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
In control at all times of developing/adapting curriculum for instruction, developing lesson plans, ordering and maintaining of products (food and non-food) needed for instruction of classes according to prescribed policies.
Assess student competencies in conjunction with College resources.
Meet with potential students, parents, guardians as necessary to discuss the curriculum/program.
Provide academic leadership of the school in conjunction with the Assistant Director and Director of Programs.
Assist with maintaining appropriate relationships with the licensing bodies.
Sustain and develop future academic programs.
Attend faculty development seminars
Pursue the Certified Hospitality Educator certification through the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
Assist with periodic program review no less frequently than every three to five years for each academic program.
Assist with maintaining national accreditation through the American Culinary Federation.
Assist with maintaining national accreditation through The Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration.
Assist with Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Special Events.
Engage in the ongoing processes and activities necessary for evaluation and professional development of faculty.
Promote the goals of the school both internally and externally.
Assist with career placement services.
Assist the Assistant Director and Director of Programs in all ways necessary to grow and maintain the integrity of the program.
Promote the mission of Pulaski Technical College.
|Minimum Requirements: ||MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in an appropriate or a related field from an accredited institution; Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience with Curriculum development tailored to specific topics, audiences.
Certified or Certifiable as CHE from American Hospitality and Lodging Association or comparable certification.
Experience working with students with specials needs and/or special education.
Prior workforce training and/or college level teaching experience.
Commitment to the mission of the comprehensive two-year college and its role in total community development.
Leadership and managerial abilities, including excellent organizational, computer and communications skills.

Bachelors degree in appropriate field, management or related field from a regionally-accredited institution.
Experience in developing curriculum and delivering workforce training programs.
