Letter from the president of the Staff Senate
Greetings and Welcome!
Thank you for visiting the Pulaski Technical College Staff Senate Web page. The Staff Senate is a group of representatives from each area on campus who meet every month. Meetings are open to the public. All meetings follow Robert’s Rules of Order. Membership to the Senate is limited to full-time classified/non-classified staff members.
Our primary function is to represent college staff, consider ways to improve employment conditions, act in an advisory capacity to the college president and to foster a spirit of unity and cooperation among all college employees.
The goal of the Staff Senate is to better serve students by facilitating and maintaining effective coordination among college departments, administration, and faculty.
Elections are held once a year. The Staff Senate has four representatives from each of the Cabinet member’s divisions/units.
As president of the Staff Senate, I am dedicated to making my one year term the best it can be for the senate and the college. The philosophy for my daily job is to succeed and to do the best I can, where I am, with what I have. I’ll bring this same philosophy to my job as Staff Senate president as well. My officers share that same passion, and together the Staff Senate will be available to address any concerns or assist with college activities.
Sincerely,
Lennon Parker
Staff Senate President
