Accessing Online Courses
How do I access my online courses?
Log into the MYPTC Student Portal
Click the Academics tab
Click the Blackboard icon
Click the title of your course to enter it.
Do NOT click on My Courses! That is not where your classes will be taught. You will have to access them through Blackboard.
How do I activate my Student Portal account?
1. Go to Pulaski Technical College homepage at www.pulaskitech.edu
2. Click on the Button that says Student Portal My PTC.
3. To the right of where you enter a username and password, click on New Users Click Here.
4. Look under the Students section and click on “New student users should click here to set up their accounts.”
5. Fill in the information that is asked for, including creating a password.
6. Make sure you enter the information that matches what Pulaski Technical College has in our files. Make sure all words are spelled correctly and that your name and the zip code you enter is what we have on file; otherwise you will have problems activating your account.
7. Click Display Username, Student ID and CHANGE my Password.
8. This will give you your new Username & G-Mail account address.
9. Print this page and make note in your records of your password!!!!
10. Click to close and then log in using your new information.
If this doesn't work on the first try, log into Campus Connect from the home page. Go to Student Information > Demographic Data & copy/paste your name and zip code into the form used in the Student Portal. For some reason it will take it like that when it won't take it hand typed. Also, choose a different password that uses the letters first & numbers last such as Steamboat1. Make sure you are including at least one capital letter.
Also, Check to see if your name will go in backwards such as John Smith = Smith John
What if I get error messages on the Student Account Activation form?
1. Click the Back button.
2. Complete the Student Account Activation form again, including all information
o Use your legal first name, not your preferred first name
o If you changed your last name or zip code without completing a “Change of Information” form with Student Services, use your previous last name and zip code.
3. If you are not sure exactly what is in your official Campus Connect records, go to Student Information> Demographic Data & copy/paste your name and zip code into the form used in the Student Portal.
4. If you continue to have problems, contact onlinecourses@pulaskitech.edu.
I’ve done everything according to the above directions and I STILL can’t get in!
• If you tried to login 10 or more times (without success), your account is locked.
• Contact onlinecourses@pulaskitech.edu in order to gain access.
I’ve already activated my Student Portal account, but forgot my information. What is my UserID?
• Your UserID in all small letters is:
First two letters of your first name + full last name + last 4 digits of your StudentID (not your social security number)
• Example for David Jones: dajones1234
