The Presidential Scholarship is a waiver of tuition and fees. It is estimated to provide up to $7,865* in tuition and fees over four semesters. The award does not pay for special course fees (e.g., aviation, culinary, occupational therapy, etc.) or books and supplies. Any other
scholarships that you receive can be used on special fees, books, supplies, and other expenses. Presidential Scholarships are awarded to qualified students
until funds are exhausted.
To qualify for the award, you must:
- Graduate from an accredited Arkansas high school. You must enroll at PTC
the fall or spring semester immediately after you graduate high school. For
example, if you graduate high school in May 2015, you must enroll at PTC the
for the Fall 2015 semester. Or, if you graduate in December 2015, you must
enroll at PTC for the Spring 2016 semester.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Meet the following test score requirements based on your ACT or COMPASS
If you have taken the ACT or COMPASS more than once, Pulaski Technical
College will accept the highest scores for each section from any of your tests.
The Presidential Scholarship is renewable for up to four semesters. To renew
the Presidential Scholarship each semester, you must:
- Maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Complete 12 or more credit hours each semester
- Enroll at Pulaski Technical College for consecutive fall and spring semesters
If you fail to meet the above criteria each semester, you will no longer
receive the Presidential Scholarship.
How to Apply
Apply for admission to Pulaski Technical College.
- Submit your qualifying test scores as part of the admissions process. If you
have taken the ACT or COMPASS more than once, Pulaski Technical College will
accept the highest scores for each section from any of your tests.
- Complete the online Presidential Scholarship Application.
The application deadline is August 1. For recognition at high school
graduation, awards ceremonies and other events, apply by May 1.
Students who receive the Presidential Scholarship can apply their scholarship
toward summer courses after their freshman year. Enrollment in summer courses is
optional and there are no required minimum credit hours for summer courses to
maintain the Presidential Scholarship.

Maximum amount of tuition awarded is calculated based on fall 2014 tuition
and fees over the course of 60 credit hours. Students must qualify for the award
each semester. Some programs require additional course fees. These additional
course fees may not be covered by the Presidential Scholarship. For information
