Message from the Chair of Department of Communications
Thank you for visiting the home page of the Communication Department at Pulaski Technical College. Our department offers a variety of freshman- and sophomore-level courses in interpersonal, small group, and public communication. Our faculty use their diverse experiences as teachers and presenters to help our students learn the practices of effective and competent communication in their personal and professional lives. Please visit the PTC catalog and browse the classes labeled SPCH to learn more about the many courses that our department offers on the physical and electronic campuses.
Not only are the classes in our department designed to help prepare students who intend to transfer to four-year colleges, but they are also designed to help enable students to have success in their jobs and in their lives in our society. In keeping with the mission statement of our division, the Communication Department is dedicated to challenging and expecting all students to think critically; act with integrity; speak across the curriculum; demonstrate computer literacy; demonstrate information literacy; demonstrate cultural literacy and sensitivity; and understand the importance that communication plays in civic/community involvement.
