Message from the Chair of English

Thank you for visiting the home page of the English Department at Pulaski Technical College. Our department offers a variety of freshman- and sophomore-level classes in composition, literature, and creative writing. Our faculty use their diverse experiences as teachers and writers to help our students learn. Please visit the PTC catalog and browse the classes labeled ENGL to learn more about the many courses that our department offers on the physical and electronic campuses. Not only are the classes in our department designed to help prepare students who intend to transfer to four-year colleges, but they are also designed to help enable students to have success in their jobs and in their lives in our society. In keeping with the mission statement of our division, the English Department is dedicated to challenging and expecting all students to think critically; act with integrity; write across the curriculum; demonstrate computer literacy; demonstrate information literacy; demonstrate cultural literacy and sensitivity; and understand the importance of civic/community involvement.
