Message from the Chair of Department of Life Sciences
Welcome to the home page of the Department of Natural Science at Pulaski Technical College. The department offers a variety of freshman and sophomore level classes in health, nutrition and the biological sciences. The faculty use their diverse experiences as teachers, health practitioners and researchers to give the student a broad base of knowledge in the sciences. Please visit the Pulaski Technical College catalog and browse the classes labeled HLSC and BIOL to learn more about the many courses that this department offers on the physical and electronic campuses.
The classes in the department designed to help prepare students who intend to transfer to four-year colleges, but are also designed to help enable students to have success in the various health careers and in being science literate citizens. In keeping with the mission statement of our division, the Natural Sciences Department is dedicated to challenging and expecting all students to think critically; act with integrity; demonstrate computer literacy; demonstrate information literacy; demonstrate science literacy as it applies to cultural literacy and sensitivity; and understand the importance science literacy as it applies to civic/community involvement.
