Pre-Health Care Studies Certificate
In order to guide students toward the goal of completing pre-requisite requirements for many nursing and allied health programs in central Arkansas, PTC offers a certificate in Pre-Health Care Studies.
Under the guidance of an allied health advisor or program director, students can work toward this certificate and be recognized for achieving this milestone. The certificate is designed to be flexible to allow the student to complete the necessary courses for different programs offered not only at PTC but transfer institutions in the central Arkansas area.
When applying to the college, students who select their interest as one of PTCís nursing or allied health programs will be put on this certificateís plan. Students must meet with an advisor and select courses within the categories based on your program of interest. Students should not deviate from this plan. Completing the certificate does not mean that you have necessarily completed all the requirements of the nursing or allied health program to which you are applying.
Degree Plan and Advising
The CP is designed to be completed in the studentís first semester and marks the first major milestone in your education upon completion of the required 13 credit hours.
The TC is designed with flexibility for various nursing and allied health programs. A total of 34 hours are required to successfully complete this certificate.
Students who are enrolled at PTC or started the admissions process can make an advising appointment by logging on to the MyPTC Portal and clicking the Advising Appointment button.
