Applicants to the Association of Applied Science degree program in Respiratory Therapy must be 18 years old and must have completed 30 semester hours consisting of English Composition I and II, College Algebra, approved Science courses with labs, an approved Social Science course, Speech Communication, and an introductory computer course. Specific course requirements may be found in the Pulaski Technical College catalog.
Acceptance into the Pulaski Technical College Respiratory Therapy program is highly competitive with 24 students selected each year.
The professional component of the program begins in June of each year and ends in May. After graduation students may take the national examinations and become a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Classroom instruction is supplemented with clinical experience in area hospitals.
