Admissions for International Students
Any individual who is not a United States citizen or permanent resident alien of the United States must meet the following admission requirements for international students. All the following must be met before admission to Pulaski Technical College is granted. The deadline for international student admission is May 15 for fall, October 15 for spring, and March 15 for summer.
International students transferring to Pulaski Technical College from another U.S. institution must be in full compliance with the INS and in good standing with the last institution attended. An I-20 will not be issued until all documentation is received and processed.
1. Complete an application for admissions. Print the paper version of the application by clicking here (PDF), complete and mail with all supporting documents to:

Do not submit the application online. It must be completed and mailed to the above address, or submitted in person at the Pulaski Technical College North Little Rock campus.
2. Submit the $50 non-refundable application fee in the form of a check drawn on a U.S. bank account or an international money order. Your application will not be processed until the application fee is received.
3. Complete and submit the International Student Data Form (PDF).
4. Submit all academic documents. Applicants must provide original or certified copies of all secondary, college and university academic transcripts including certified English translations. Complete course descriptions or syllabi for each course completed must be submitted in order to evaluate transfer credit from any foreign college or university. These must be translated into English for consideration.
5. Submit proof of English language proficiency if not from an English-speaking country. Proof can be provided by:
- Submitting an official TOEFL score of 173 (computer-based exam) or 500 (paper-based exam) sent directly from Educational Testing Services (ETS). The score must be less than 2 years old.
- Proof of graduation from an Intensive Language Program (IEP) in the United States.
- Submitting an ACT score of 19 on the English language portion of the exam
- Proof of completion of English Composition I with a “C” or better if a transfer student.
6. Submit proof of financial support. Applicants must submit a letter in English from their financial sponsor’s bank certifying that they will have a minimum of $20,000 available for each academic year of study. Tuition and fees must be paid in full at the beginning of each semester. Pulaski Technical College does not award financial aid or scholarships to international students.
7. Submit proof of health insurance coverage in the United States.
8. Provide two proofs of immunization against measles and rubella (MMR) and proof of tuberculosis screening (PDF) as required by Arkansas state law.
9. Provide ACT or COMPASS test scores. The COMPASS is administered on campus for a fee of $10.
10. The following additional documentation must be submitted if transferring to Pulaski Technical College from another college or university in the United States:
- A transfer notification form (PDF) completed by the student’s adviser at the school from which the student is transferring.
- Official college/university transcripts.
- Copies of the current I-20, passport and I-94 card.

All international students will be required to enroll in and complete no fewer than 12 credit hours per semester to stay in compliance with INS regulations. There are no living facilities on campus, and the college does not provide assistance with locating housing.
International students will be required to pay the international student tuition and fees for each semester. If payment is not made as required, students will not be allowed to re-enroll in classes and the student may become out of compliance with the INS.
