Pulaski Tech Little Rock - South houses the PTC Transportation
Technology Center and the PTC Arkansas Culinary School. College
curriculum is also offered, including courses in computer
information, developmental education, early childhood development,
economics, English, fine arts, physical sciences, social sciences,
communications and more.
The Transportation Technology Center will focus on career-oriented
training for students in the fields of diesel technology, motorcycle
and ATV repair, small engine repair, commercial driver training and
transportation facility management. Presently, automotive technology
and collision repair training will continue at the Pulaski Tech main
campus in North Little Rock. These programs will relocate to the new
site for spring semester 2009.
The PTC Arkansas Culinary School will offer degrees and certificates
in culinary arts, hospitality management, baking and pastry, and
wine and spirits studies. The new Associate of Applied Science in
Hospitality Management degree is a new program that focuses on
lodging, tourism, food service and business management, giving
graduates a comprehensive understanding of the "front of house"
aspects of the tourism, lodging and food service industries.
The relocation of the PTC Arkansas Culinary School also bodes well
for students, faculty and other hungry diners at The Finish Line,
the Arkansas Culinary School-operated café. While breakfast and
lunch staples such as omelets and muffins or pizza and salad will be
standard fare, the café will also offer the fruits of the culinary
curriculum as students perfect various gourmet dishes.
Students will also have access to all the services they enjoy at the
PTC main campus: a library, computer labs, tutoring services,
student services, all housed in an attractive new location with
cutting-edge technology.
